Somerset High School wins annual mariachi competition

Somerset High School claimed the top price and $1,500 in cash in the seventh annual Mariachi Corazon de San Antonio Festival. The Oct. 27 competition featured area high schools in a mariachi competition, vying for the cash price and the title of best high school level mariachi in San Antonio. Somerset High School earned the top spot and the people's choice award in the competition. Legacy High School placed second and Jefferson High School finished in third.
